iphone/ipod ssh tutorial

This tutorial will show you how to ssh between your computer and your iphone/ipod. First off you need a jailbroken device. If you haven't already jailbroken you can go to my earlier post. Ok now that your device has been jailbroken you are ready. First open up Cydia and search for openssh. Once you have found it install and confirm it. Now return to Cydia.Go to the search menu again and search for toogle ssh. Download and installl that. Now leave Cydia and go to your main menu. From there go to settings>general> autolock and click never. This is incase your device tries to lock when you are about to ssh something. Next look for an app on your device named SSH Daemon: you should see two options, enable or disable. Click Enable. Now you need to get on your pc for this one.Once on head over Winscp.com from there download winscp. Once it is installed you are almost ready to ssh something to your device. Now what you need to do is go back to the menu on your device and "slide your finger accross the top where the at&t and wifi bar is. You should see a list of icons saying 3g, bluetooth, wifi and so on. But you will also see your Wifi ip address.
Another way of doing this is to go to settings and click wifi from their go over and you should see your ip address. For instance my ip is 192.168.1.04. After you have done that load up Winscp. Where it says hostname type "your ip", where it says username type "root" and where it says password type "alpine". Your devices should now be connecting. If you want to put anything such as theme on your ipod/iphone all you need to do is head over to /private/var/stash and look for a folder named theme. Once in theme look to the side where your pc is and find the folder that contains the theme you want and drag it to your theme folder.Thats all people. Don't forget to DONATE!!

Jailbreaking iphone/ipod

I just recently jail broke my iphone 3g. It's pretty awesome, you are able to get custom themes, hacks, games, and other fun material. In this quick tutorial I will explain how to jailbreak your iphone 3G or 3Gs. First make sure that you really want to go through with this. Sometimes there are problems while doing this such as getting stuck at the boot screen, home screen, or the ipod/iphone keeps loading at the boot screen.

Ok so now you are ready. Firs thing you need to do is to open up itunes and plug your phone to the computer. From itunes click your devices name. Once you are at this screen you will see some options. Update>restore. What we want to click is restore. This is because if anything happens to your phone during the jailbreaking process, your original settings can be restored. After you have backed up everything allow your phone to sync.

Next you will need to head over to a website named http://blackra1n.com/ . This is when the actual jailbreaking begins. Scroll down on the site and download the application for either windows or mac. Once it is downloaded open it up. You should see a box appear that says make it rain. Click that box. The next thing you may notice is that itunes acts a little crazy. Just close out the itune boxes that appear. Trust me you are safe. Your iphone should now be entering recovery mode...... From there you will see a loading screen. Just wait for your iphone to reboot. Once you are back in your iphone look for a new app name Blackra1n. From Blackra1in download cydia.Cydia is important because it allows you to download themes, hacks, games, etc. After Cydia has been downloaded you are done. Now that wasn't so hard, was it? Took about 5 min... And to even think you were scared. Lol.

I-pod

So im getting my first ipod touch for Christmas. I have to say that I was debating on rather I should get that or the zune hd. And my decision was the i-pod. As of now I only have one problem with the i-pod and it's that it wont run flash. Now I know some windows fans are puzzled as to why so I'll list three reasons as to why I made this decision.

1.Safari loads faster then windows mobile
2.More apps for the i-pod
3. You can do multiple things at once

1.Does not run flash
